MDCAT Date Announce – PMDC decides to hold the exam on Aug 27
The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) has been scheduled for August 27, 2023, according to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), the country’s medical industry regulator. Any student who wishes to enroll in a medical school in the country, whether public or private, will be eligible to take the admission exam.
This news comes after the National Medical and Dental Admission Test (NMDAT), Pakistan’s former medical entrance test, was abolished earlier this year.
Dr. Rizwan Taj, president of the PMDC, presided over the meeting. A statement issued following the meeting revealed that topics including the MDCAT and the national registration test had been discussed.
The MDCAT examinations, the primary topic of discussion, were scheduled for August 27, 2023. The Council also determined that the MDCAT would keep the same syllabus as the previous year’s test.
According to the statement, the council issued an order to all provincial secretaries to begin preparing for the MDCAT exam, noting that the decision was made with the student’s best interests in mind.
In order to make sure that all provinces were able to administer tests without any problems for students, the MDCAT paper difficult index would also be taken into consideration this year.
There were around 204,259 test takers last year. It is expected that approximately 210,000 pupils will take the test this year. The council highlighted that all relevant parties would be consulted in advance of exams to maintain exam confidentiality.
